Parliament: The Parliament consists of two houses; Senate (Upper House) and National Assembly (Lower House)

The Senate is a permanent legislative body. It consists of 100 members.

The National Assembly has a total membership of 342 elected through general elections.

State Emblem: The state emblem consists of:the crescent and the star which symbolises Islam; a shield in the center showing the four major agricultural crops of Pakistan; a wreath surrounding the shield representing cultural heritage of Pakistan; and a scroll with the words: Unity, Faith,Discipline.
